Everyone is familiar with Bluetooth technology now. Bluetooth powers several devices today, and consumers worldwide know how to connect and work with Bluetooth technology.
As far as its protocol standards are concerned, Bluetooth Mesh is powered by a standard named Bluetooth Low Energy, colloquially known as Bluetooth 5.0. Its functionality is similar to that of Zigbee and Z-wave.
It offers commendable latency and speed, and its performance is highly similar to what Zigbee brings. The most significant advantage of Bluetooth Mesh is that it is word-for-word everywhere. Almost every single device today that rolls out of the conveyor belt have Bluetooth technology by default. It makes way for compatibility. However, there is a catch here in that the mesh protocol supports only Bluetooth 4.0 and 5.0.
Despite being popular, Bluetooth is relatively new and lacks the standards and robustness of some other protocols. It is yet to evolve as an ecosystem where it can be compatible with devices outside of its compatibility, and most importantly, it lacks IP functionality.
Many new construction projects are still being built without proper building technology and planning for the future. Maybe together we can change that.
